Vice Chancellor of Administration and Finance
South Louisiana Community College, is seeking
strategically focused, visionary candidates for the position of
Vice Chancellor of Administration and Finance. Answering
directly to the Chancellor this challenging position serves as
the chief financial officer, responsible for an operating budget
and encompassing all segments of the campus. In addition to
active oversight, analysis and implementation of the campus
budget, the Vice Chancellor also provides management to six
campus departments: Facilities, Business Office, Human
Resources, Security, Property, and Information Technology.
The ideal candidate approaches this position with
the relevant experience of a seasoned chief financial officer as
well as skill as an effective interpersonal manager with a
history of workforce development and team leadership. The
university seeks an independent thinker with skills to navigate
within a complex, multi-constituent organization who is decisive
while fair. The successful candidate has a keen intellectual
capacity, professional creativity, an open and persuasive
communication style, and solid problem solving skills, a record
of leadership grounded in organizational values, and the energy
and vision to provide fiscal leadership that continues the
mission of the campus.
Key selection criteria include:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field. CPA
or MBA preferred. Five years of senior level management
experience, preferably in an institution of higher education.
Knowledge of higher education accounting and financial
reporting. Ability to work with a wide range of constituencies,
including students, faculty, administrators, and public
officials; ability to communicate effectively orally and in
writing.

Access Services Librarian
Responsibilities include circulation, reference, acquisition and
bibliographic instruction. Requires a Master’s degree in
Library and Information Science or equivalent degree from an ALA
accredited institution. Preferred qualifications include

Financial Aid Advisor
Responsibilities include meeting and counseling
students, parents and others to explain and discuss details of
the financial aid application and awarding processes, the laws,
and regulations governing the eligibility of federal, state and
institutional and other relevant aid programs. Determines
eligibility for federal, state, college and other aid programs (
GO Grants, ACG, and Veteran’s benefits. Other related financial
aid duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required and at least two years of work
experience. Proficiency in computer skills as well as written
and verbal communication skills required. Financial aid
experience preferred. Evidence of a sensitivity to and
understanding of the diverse academic, socio-economic and
cultural backgrounds of community college students is desirable.
Candidate must be willing to rotate to New Iberia.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Course teaching load is 15 credit hours per semester. In
addition to teaching duties, faculty has student advising,
college service, and office hour responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Faculty positions require a
minimum of a Master's degree in the teaching discipline or a
Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching
discipline.

Network Technician
SLCC is a rapidly growing multi

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s degree required with twelve (12) semester hours in
electronics, telecommunications, computer science or electrical
engineering, or any combination of the above fields to equal
twelve hours. Completion of a full-time comprehensive computer
technology, electronic technology, computer network technology
or microcomputer software technology course from a technical
institute or business school of at least twelve (12) months in
duration or four years of relevant work experience will
substitute for the associate’s degree and the required twelve
